Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a night shift travel assignment in Augusta, GA, requiring strong orthopedic surgical experience and proficiency with advanced robotic and navigation systems.
Details
- Position is based in the Main OR of an acute care hospital in Augusta, GA
- 13-room Main OR performing a wide range of surgical cases, excluding open heart, transplants, and eye procedures
- Surgical specialties include ortho (major joint), general, urology (open and cysto), and minor vascular; major vascular experience is a plus
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- OR team consists of RNs, surgical techs, support staff, and board runners
- Equipment includes Stryker Ortho Systems, Stryker lap towers, da Vinci Xi robots (x2), MAKO Navigation (Stryker), and OMNI navigation
- EMR: Meditech
- Night shift: 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Call shifts required approximately 4–5 times per 4-week period with weekend rotation; no fixed schedule
- Floating is required if ORs are shut down, with internal float prioritized before floating as helping hands to other areas
Requirements
- Active RN license in GA or a Compact state currently in hand
- BLS required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience
- Orthopedic surgical experience is required, with major joint experience specifically required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Scrubs are provided by the facility at no cost
- Free parking is available in an on-site parking garage
- Sterile processing is located on the same floor as the OR
- Cafeteria available on-site
