Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for an outpatient SLP position at a hospital in Michigan, requiring ASHA certification and adult outpatient experience.

Details

• Outpatient SLP setting within a hospital
• Treats adult outpatient populations with conditions including language disorders, cognition, dysphagia, brain injuries, apraxia of speech, voice disorders, Parkinson's disease, and pediatric cases
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30am to 5:00pm
• No floating or weekend requirements
• Epic EMR used on-site; experience preferred, with training provided during orientation

Requirements

• Active Michigan SLP license required by start date (compact license not accepted in MI); license required if applicable
• Current ASHA certification required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required
• Adult outpatient experience required
• Proof of high school level education required, regardless of additional degrees
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former core staff or travelers must wait 12 months before returning to this facility
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment; all RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as traveling candidates
• Modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
• Facility is a Level 1 Trauma center
