Description
American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for an outpatient SLP position at a hospital in Michigan, requiring ASHA certification and adult outpatient experience.
Details
- Outpatient SLP setting within a hospital
- Treats adult outpatient populations with conditions including language disorders, cognition, dysphagia, brain injuries, apraxia of speech, voice disorders, Parkinson's disease, and pediatric cases
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30am to 5:00pm
- No floating or weekend requirements
- Epic EMR used on-site; experience preferred, with training provided during orientation
Requirements
- Active Michigan SLP license required by start date (compact license not accepted in MI); license required if applicable
- Current ASHA certification required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required
- Adult outpatient experience required
- Proof of high school level education required, regardless of additional degrees
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Former core staff or travelers must wait 12 months before returning to this facility
- Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment; all RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as traveling candidates
- Modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
- Facility is a Level 1 Trauma center
