Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting in the Drexel Heights, AZ area, with at least 1 year of outpatient experience and an active AZ license required prior to start.
Details
- Outpatient physical therapy setting
- Patient population includes general outpatient, injured workers, and work hardening/functional capacity cases
- Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an outpatient PT setting
- Active Arizona PT license required prior to start date; proof of pending licensure may be accepted
- Current BLS certification required if applicable
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients via physician referral or direct access across a variety of outpatient and occupational health cases
- Experience with or willingness to learn WorkSTEPS, APET, Work Hardening Evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and ergonomic/job analysis assessments is expected
- Role includes supervising PT assistants and PT technicians in accordance with a PT plan of care
- Familiarity with workers' compensation (ACOMP) systems and various payer billing codes is beneficial
- Involves regular communication with referring physicians, case managers, and rehab nurses regarding patient progress
- May include participation in business development activities, marketing to referral sources, and community outreach when caseload allows
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required
- A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required
