Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT CT/R certification at a Level I Trauma facility.
Details
- 13-week travel assignment
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Wednesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- No on-call requirements
- Adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ED, and ICU settings
- Level I Trauma Center
- Performs abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and thoracic CT studies
- Special procedures include CTA (coronary and vascular), brain perfusion, biopsies, aspirations, and colonography
- Uses Siemens equipment and PACS system
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must float within scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Tech experience required
- ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS certifications required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- BSN preferred
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred
- Proficiency in contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture required
- Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE required
- State license required if applicable, pending licenses accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before the start date
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include image display and post-processing techniques such as 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
- Performs a wide range of CT imaging studies across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and thoracic regions
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Maximum of 40 hours RTO approved per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration
- Any planned time off between offer acceptance and start date must be disclosed to arrange an appropriate start date
- 50-mile radius rule applies for this position
- Previous UVA Health employees must have a 1-year separation and leadership approval to be eligible
- External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
- Specialty-specific orientation modules are completed during onboarding
