Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and an active Illinois RN license
Details
- Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
- Position is located in a hospital NICU setting
- Neonatal patient population, including monitoring intake/output and supporting breastfeeding initiation
- 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule required
- Holiday coverage required on an every-other basis
- No floating requirements
- No on-call responsibilities
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) and NRP (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include monitoring neonatal intake and output, assisting mothers with breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care, administering medications via barcode scanning, and reporting during multidisciplinary rounds
- Candidate interviews are conducted by a Carle Health leader
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
