Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a large, award-winning regional referral hospital in Asheville, NC.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Services department of an 854-bed regional referral center and Level II trauma center
• Patient population spans adult, pediatric, and neonatal service lines
• Patient ratios range from 10–25 patients per therapist
• Equipment includes GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant/peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilator, V60 non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices
• EMR: Cerner
• Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Floating required to all critical care units and floors
• At least 4 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule

Requirements

• Active RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• Active North Carolina Respiratory Therapy license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Must have worked in the specialty within the last 6 months
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• NRP preferred; required if caring for neonatal patients
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Professional reference required (2 references required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)

• Provide respiratory therapy services across adult, pediatric, and neonatal service lines
• Night shift team consists of 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines

• Facility serves as the region's only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU, and children's hospital
