Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Telemetry/Med-Surg position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a minimum of 1-2 years of experience and an active Iowa or compact RN license.

Details

• Med-Surg Telemetry unit within a regional health center serving adult and all-age patient populations
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with CNA and LPN support staff
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating may be required within a 25-mile radius of the facility
• 13-week contract
• EMR: MediTech

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and Handle With Care (HWC); ACLS preferred but not required
• AHA-issued certifications required
• Iowa State background check (SING BG) required, including criminal and child abuse portions — no exceptions
• All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) required
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Titers must be from within the last 12 months
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Travel experience preferred but not required — first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates may not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Monday or Tuesday start dates available
