Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU travel position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, Epic proficiency, and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Neonatal ICU (NICU) unit in an acute hospital setting
- Patient population consists of neonates requiring intensive care monitoring
- No on-call requirements
- 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Holiday coverage required on a rotating every-other basis
- No floating requirements
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include monitoring neonatal intake and output, administering medications via barcode scanning, and reporting during multidisciplinary rounds
- Supports breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care practices
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
- Interviews are conducted by the facility's nursing leadership
