Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Da Vinci XI robotic experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties including General, GYN, Urology, and Orthopedics.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 8 total OR suites
• Surgical specialties include General, GYN, Urology, ENT/Plastics, Endovascular, Ortho Total Joint/Sports Med, Podiatry, and Da Vinci robotic cases
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00am–7:30pm)
• On-call required: no more than 40 hours of call per 6-week period with a 45-minute response time
• No floating within the OR unit, though travelers may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate
• Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
• Parking is free

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; both AHA and RQI formats accepted
• Minimum 5 years of OR experience required
• Circulator experience required
• Da Vinci XI robotic experience required (GYN, General, and Urology robotic cases)
• Proficiency in at least 3 of the following 4 specialties required: General, GYN, Urology, Orthopedic Total Joint/Sports Med
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 2 supervisor professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates who are Indiana residents are considered local and will be offered a reduced travel pay package
• Any permanent or PRN employee of IU Health must have a 12-month separation before applying as a traveler
• Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break, in-state residents require a 180-day break
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
• Red top and black bottom scrubs required
• Charge pay is available for this assignment
• The facility conducts interviews in the afternoons
