Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Anchorage, AK.
Details
- Located on the 4th floor of an acute care hospital in Anchorage, AK
- Respiratory Therapy department serving all units, including ER, CCU, and NICU
- Patient population spans neonates through adults
- Procedures performed include ventilator setup (neonate through adult), Hi-Flow in NICU, nebulizer treatments, Nitric Oxide, Flolan therapy, BiPAP, Bubble CPAP, and EKGs
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment
- RT floats to cover all units
- Weekend and on-call coverage required
- Hospital-provided scrubs required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- ER, CCU, and NICU experience required — candidates without this will not be considered
- EKG experience required
- Active CRT or RRT credential required; license required if applicable
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics, NRP Advanced 9th Edition)
- AHA or ARC certifications accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the start date
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates will be considered
- First-time travelers may want to note that HCA Far West facilities require at least 2 years of clinical experience in the area of placement
