Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Anchorage, AK.

Details

• Located on the 4th floor of an acute care hospital in Anchorage, AK
• Respiratory Therapy department serving all units, including ER, CCU, and NICU
• Patient population spans neonates through adults
• Procedures performed include ventilator setup (neonate through adult), Hi-Flow in NICU, nebulizer treatments, Nitric Oxide, Flolan therapy, BiPAP, Bubble CPAP, and EKGs
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• RT floats to cover all units
• Weekend and on-call coverage required
• Hospital-provided scrubs required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• ER, CCU, and NICU experience required — candidates without this will not be considered
• EKG experience required
• Active CRT or RRT credential required; license required if applicable
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics, NRP Advanced 9th Edition)
• AHA or ARC certifications accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the start date
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates will be considered
• First-time travelers may want to note that HCA Far West facilities require at least 2 years of clinical experience in the area of placement
