Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift contract role in a freestanding emergency department CT unit in San Antonio, TX, requiring ARRT(CT) certification and at least 6 months of recent CT experience.
Details
- Located in a freestanding emergency department (FSED) setting within a hospital system
- CT unit with 11 beds and a staff of 1–2 technologists per shift
- 1 CT technologist per shift with a mid-shift overlap on days
- Procedures include CT Body, CT Head, CT Angiography, and routine X-ray
- Equipment used: GE REVO 64-slice CT scanner
- EMR/systems: Meditech, AGFA PACS, and GE RIS
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- No on-call or call-back requirements
- No floating required
Requirements
- ARRT(CT) certification required
- Texas Medical Board registration required
- Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of start)
- Minimum 6 months of CT experience within the last 6 months
- GE CT equipment experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates considered
- SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform CT Body, CT Head, CT Angiography, and routine X-ray imaging
- Ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Scrub colors: olive top and black bottom; some flexibility for travelers
- One professional reference required for consideration
