Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a MAGNET-designated acute care hospital in Orange, CA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active NMTCB or ARRT certification.
Details
- Acute care MAGNET hospital setting with 426 staffed beds
- Nuclear Medicine department
- 5x8 day shifts, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- No weekends or holidays required
- Optional call shifts available for interested clinicians: M–F 4:30 AM–10:00 PM and Sat–Sun 6:00 AM–10:00 PM, with a 60-minute response time
- Charting via Epic (required)
- Free parking on site
- Travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience required
- Active NMTCB or ARRT certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active CA state license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
Additional Information
- PET scan experience is preferred; candidates without prior PET experience may be considered with on-site training provided
- Orientation is expected to run approximately 2 weeks, with shifts from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
- RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration; minimal RTO is strongly preferred
- Former permanent staff at this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in assignment termination
