Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of OB experience.

Details

• Work is performed in an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) unit within a hospital setting
• Nurses rotate through all roles including Labor, Triage, and Postpartum/Mother-Baby care
• Postpartum patient ratio is 3–4 couplets; Labor ratio is 1–2 patients
• Schedule is 4x12-hour night shifts (18:30–07:00)
• Every other weekend (EOW) rotation required
• On-call hours are required based on staffing needs, typically averaging 16–20 hours per 6-week schedule
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Local candidates will not be considered

Requirements

• Active RN license — Maryland (MD) or Compact license required
• Current certifications required: NRP, AWHONN, and FHM
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• OB surgical recovery (C-section) experience highly preferred
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Nurses rotate between Labor, Triage, and Postpartum/Mother-Baby responsibilities as part of standard unit staffing
• Staff may opt to pick up one extra weekend shift and one extra weekday shift in lieu of traditional on-call hours
• This is a 13-week contract
