Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a hospital-based Infusion Center position requiring prior infusion and outpatient oncology experience, Epic proficiency, and ONS/ONCC certification.
Details
- Hospital-based infusion center setting focused on outpatient oncology
- Patient diagnoses include solid tumor cancers, lymphomas, chronic leukemia, iron deficiency, myelodysplastic syndrome, and neuro-oncology
- Specialized procedures performed include bone marrow aspirations, intravesicular chemotherapy for bladder cancer, and intrathecal chemotherapy
- Specialized equipment on the unit includes a Cyracom interpreter machine, blood warmer, Hoyer lift, vein finder, and ultrasound-guided IV machine
- EMR: Epic (required)
- Day shift, 5x8 schedule with variable start times (8:30a–5p, 9a–5:30p, or 9:30a–6p)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- ONS or ONCC certification required
- ACLS preferred
- OCN certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior infusion center and outpatient oncology experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Documents required for consideration: 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years, license verification via Nursys, copies of certifications, and a copy of driver's license
Additional Information
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during the compliance process; two attempts are allowed
- Candidates should prepare for the EKG exam in advance, as study materials will not be provided by the facility
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
