Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position in Asheville, NC, requiring broad surgical knowledge across multiple service lines and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience.

Details

• Located in a large, 815-bed hospital in Asheville, NC that serves as a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and the busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas
• Assignment in the Operating Room (OR) department
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Broad surgical experience required across multiple service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma
• Day shift: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM on a variable schedule
• On-call is required
• Floating to other departments may be required
• Charting is performed in Cerner

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC (must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience
• Broad surgical knowledge with hands-on experience across multiple OR service lines (general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma)
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if from Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
