Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week assignment at a skilled nursing facility in Santa Rosa, CA.

• Skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
• Rehabilitation therapy unit focused on occupational therapy services
• Geriatric and post-acute patient population
• 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Current, active CA OT license (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, adaptive equipment, and therapeutic modalities

Additional Information

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, mental, and emotional needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting improvement in ADLs and functional independence
• Provide direct therapy interventions including therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment training, and cognitive training
• Educate patients and families on home safety, adaptive techniques, and equipment use
• Document patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nurses, physicians, and speech therapists
