Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Epic proficiency, ACLS/PALS certifications, and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• 2 on-call shifts required per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with an expectation to be onsite within one hour
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Every other weekend shift required
• Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
• No floating requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing; temporary license accepted
• Minimum 3 years of relevant RN experience
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• TNCC highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Performs patient assessments, develops and modifies individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
• Executes nursing interventions and maintains accurate, up-to-date patient documentation
• Upholds patient and staff safety standards through appropriate nursing interventions and reporting of safety hazards
• Collaborates effectively with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to promote a positive care environment
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
