Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift travel position in Carlsbad, NM, requiring 2+ years of experience and a NM or compact RN license.
Details
- General Medical-Surgical inpatient unit with occasional non-critical pediatric patients
- May float between Med/Surg and Rehab units
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Floating required
- On-call is census-based only, triggered prior to shift start when census is low — there is no standing on-call schedule
- 13-week contract
- Uses MedHost EMR
Requirements
- Active NM or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
- No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Fingerprinting required for all travelers working in New Mexico
Additional Information
- Provides general medical-surgical nursing care, including occasional management of non-critical pediatric patients
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
- Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
- Blocked scheduling may be accommodated upon request
