Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and a compact or NM RN license.

Details

• General Medical-Surgical inpatient nursing unit with occasional non-critical pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Floating required
• No standing on-call schedule, though census-based flex on-call may occur prior to a scheduled shift
• EMR system used is MedHost
• Scrubs of any color are permitted

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or New Mexico state license) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers
• Active driver's license and US Social Security number required for consideration
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide general Med/Surg nursing care including management of occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the floor
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
