Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience in CT scanning and X-ray for a day shift contract in Carlsbad, NM.

Details

• Work in the CT Scanner department of an acute care hospital
• Serves both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Procedures include CT of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures
• Additional imaging responsibilities include fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services
• Studies performed with and without contrast media
• EMR: Medhost
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
• 4 call shifts per month
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT certification (CT) required
• Both CT and X-ray experience required
• Graduate of an accredited AMA-approved radiologic technology program
• State radiographer license required if applicable
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the contract start date
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations as prescribed by the referring physician and in accordance with departmental protocols under the direction of a Radiologist
• Responsibilities include knowledge of CT system processing, surgical/sterile procedures, contrast media studies, and cross-sectional anatomy
• Scrubs: any color
• RTO requests must be for less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
