Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.
Details
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
- Care for inpatient obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, and surgical delivery
- Perform fetal monitoring, medication administration, and patient education specific to the obstetric population
- Night shift schedule from 7:30pm to 7:00am, 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
- Weekend shifts required
- No holiday shifts required
- No floating requirements
- Requires use of Epic EMR for charting
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications through the American Heart Association
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
Additional Information
- Provides intrapartum care for mother and newborn during labor, delivery, and surgical delivery
- Monitors fetal well-being and administers medications specific to obstetric patients
- Delivers patient education tailored to the obstetric population
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Travel partners are not accepted for this position
- Contingent workers who have been on assignment with the health system for more than 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning
