Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration experience and active TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Oncology unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes all cancer diagnoses as well as malignant and non-malignant hematology conditions
• Chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration are core functions of this role
• Charting performed in Epic (experience preferred)
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Certificate
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups will be accepted
• RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and will not be approved during the first week of orientation
