Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at an acute care teaching hospital in Minnesota, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and Epic/Excellian proficiency.

Details

• PACU setting within an acute care teaching hospital (Level 3 Trauma) with 317 staffed beds
• Role covers both the main hospital PACU and the Day Surgery Center (two locations within the same hospital system)
• Patient care scope includes PACU, Pre-Op, and Phase 2 recovery
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shifts scheduled as 3x12-hour shifts with start times ranging from 5:30 AM to 11:00 AM (shift windows: 0530–1800, 0700–1930, 0800–2030, 0930–2200, 1100–2330)
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required between the main hospital PACU and the Day Surgery Center to meet facility needs
• Charting via Epic (Excellian)

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years of PACU experience required
• Epic/Excellian EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been gone for at least 3 months since their last shift worked
• Scrubs are provided by the unit
• Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the first day of the assignment
• RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days for the duration of the contract
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Parking options are available near the facility at the candidate's expense (day/evening shift); night shift parking is complimentary
