Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma teaching hospital in Salem, OR, requiring active OR licensure and at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting (569 staffed beds) with Magnet, Teaching, and Level II Trauma Center designations
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a 1:4 RN patient ratio
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating may be required within scope to meet facility needs, including to a nearby sister hospital
• Charting via Epic (experience required, no exceptions)
• Free on-site parking available
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Oregon (OR) RN license required — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience within the last 3 years required
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias (telemetry strip reading required)
• Proficiency in Epic EMR (no exceptions)
• Skills required: O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care/management, isolation precautions/PPE, rapid response team activation, and computerized documentation
• COVID vaccination required — no exemptions

• RTO requests exceeding 2 weeks require approval; RTO must be submitted upfront and cannot be changed once under client review — additional requests may result in cancellation

• Block scheduling is not available for this position
