Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and a valid LA or Compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital ICU setting with a standard 1:2 patient ratio that may flex to 1:3
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• 13-week contract
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float required to all ICUs and may include floating to the ED or PACU to care for ICU patients; occasional float to MS/PCU units with a 1:4 ratio
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Equipment includes Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis machines, Edwards Lifesciences cardiac monitors, Medtronic EVD Management Systems, Arctic Sun TMS, GE Monitors, Hill-Rom Beds, Pyxis Medication Station, and Veratron Bladder Scanner

Requirements

• Active LA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be listed and explained

Additional Information

• Nurses are responsible for all lab draws, EKGs, and IV line starts
• Must be prepared to care for isolation patients, including COVID-19; candidates should know their N95 mask size
• CPI certification can be obtained at the facility for $100 if not already held
• RTO is limited to 5 days for the duration of the contract
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
