Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Step Down / Med-Surg Telemetry position at a Milwaukee-area hospital, requiring at least 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work setting is an acute care hospital on a Med-Surg/PCU Step Down unit
- Traveler will be placed on whichever unit (PCU or Med/Surg/Tele) has the greatest need based on individual skills
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
- Floating required within skill set, both on-site and to sister facilities within a 40-mile radius
- 13-week contract
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Nursys license verification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (both must be AHA-issued)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg Telemetry, or acute care experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Social Security Number (SSN) and a valid US home address required
- Driver's License copy required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Full DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Both Med-Surg and Step Down RNs are welcome to apply, as credentialing requirements are the same for both skill sets
- Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
- COVID vaccination is not required for this position
