Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Acute Care Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience for a hospital-based inpatient unit, requiring an active SC OT license and NBCOT certification.
Details
- Hospital-based acute care inpatient unit
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 5x8-hour shifts per week
- Weekend coverage required, approximately 1–2 weekends per month
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Epic EMR used at this facility
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Active South Carolina or Multistate Compact Occupational Therapist license required at start of contract; license required if applicable
- NBCOT certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA accepted only)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
- Red scrub top and black scrub pants are required
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
