Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of CT experience for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital in Washington State.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within the Radiology - CT department
- Department has 2 CT scanners: a GE and a Toshiba
- Common studies include CTA, body, and neuro imaging
- Average of 30 scans per 12-hour shift
- Most ED patients arrive with IVs in place, though techs should be able to start and troubleshoot IVs as needed
- EMR: Epic; PACS: McKesson
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday
- On-call required with a 30-minute response time
- Holiday coverage is required
- If the GE scanner goes down, traveler may be required to operate the Toshiba scanner
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience, with knowledge of ER-type scans
- Active ARRT (CT) certification required; pending certifications are not accepted
- Active BLS certification required
- Active WA State Department of Health Radiology License required; pending licenses will not be accepted — license required if applicable
- Proficiency with both GE and Toshiba CT scanners preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR and McKesson PACS
- Ability to start IVs and troubleshoot non-functioning IV lines
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging studies including CTA, body, and neuro scans
- Radiologist is on-site during the day only; not present during evenings or weekends
- Department-specific orientation is provided (12 hours)
- Solid-color scrubs required; scrubs are provided
- Traveler must provide their own radiation badge
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
- Local candidates are accepted
