Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU travel assignment at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Washington, DC, with night shift availability and EOW requirements.

Details

  • Position is in a NICU at a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital with 228 staffed beds
  • Patient ratio is 1:2-3
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Every other weekend (EOW) required
  • No on-call required
  • Floating to Post Partum may be required
  • Self-scheduling system used: travelers submit shift requests electronically during a designated period, with manager final approval to ensure balanced coverage
  • Charting is done in Cerner

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Washington, DC required
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Prior NICU nursing experience required
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
  • Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Scrub color is Royal Blue
  • Parking is the responsibility of the traveler; options include street metered parking, daily/weekly/monthly hospital parking, and access via DC Metro (Green/Yellow lines, Shaw/Howard University stop) and multiple bus routes
