Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU travel assignment at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Washington, DC, with night shift availability and EOW requirements.
Details
- Position is in a NICU at a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital with 228 staffed beds
- Patient ratio is 1:2-3
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- No on-call required
- Floating to Post Partum may be required
- Self-scheduling system used: travelers submit shift requests electronically during a designated period, with manager final approval to ensure balanced coverage
- Charting is done in Cerner
Requirements
- Active RN license in Washington, DC required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Prior NICU nursing experience required
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Scrub color is Royal Blue
- Parking is the responsibility of the traveler; options include street metered parking, daily/weekly/monthly hospital parking, and access via DC Metro (Green/Yellow lines, Shaw/Howard University stop) and multiple bus routes
