Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and a DC RN license.

Details

  • Labor & Delivery unit in a 228-bed Level 1 Trauma, Magnet teaching hospital
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Charting systems include Centricity, Sorian, EDM, Lawson, and Kronos
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Local candidates are welcome to apply

Requirements

  • Active DC RN license required — pending licenses not accepted
  • Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
  • Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
  • Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Maximum of 1 RTO request for the duration of the contract
  • Parking is the clinician's responsibility — options include metered street parking, hospital daily/weekly/monthly parking passes, and public transportation via Metro (Shaw/Howard University stop on the Green and Yellow lines)

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first travel assignment. American Traveler has made the entire process feel easy from start to finish.
