Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position in a Special Care Nursery Level 2A, requiring at least 2 years of NICU experience along with postpartum/couplet care and delivery attendance experience.
Details
- Special Care Nursery Level 2A (NICU) in a hospital setting
- Neonatal patient population, including high-risk deliveries and Level 2 nursery care
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating coverage required for Mother/Baby and Labor & Delivery units
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS (Healthcare Provider) and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of experience in special care nursing of newborns (Level II NICU)
- Postpartum (PP) and couplet care experience required
- Delivery attendance experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates during high-risk deliveries and in a Level 2 nursery setting
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care for neonatal patients and their families
- Delegate and supervise selected nursing activities to unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of practice
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care activities and maintain communication with interdisciplinary team members
- Provide patient and family education as appropriate
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a reduced pay rate
