Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring 3–5 years of nursing experience, critical care background, and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a hospital setting with 5 patient bays
- Serves both inpatient and outpatient populations including pediatric, adult, elderly, and acutely/chronically ill patients
- Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts (7:30am–6:00pm), Monday through Friday with variability in day off
- Rotating call required: Mon–Fri 6pm–11pm and Sat/Sun 7am–11pm
- Holiday and weekend coverage required as needed
Requirements
- Active MA RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 3–5 years of nursing experience required
- Critical care experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency with IV skills, physical assessment, aseptic techniques, and universal precautions
- Experience with specialized equipment including monitors, infusion pumps, O2 equipment, and ventilators
- Computer skills required
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care to inpatient and outpatient radiology patients, including recognition and management of contrast reactions and administration of conscious sedation
- Assists radiologists with special procedures and treatments requiring professional nursing skills
- Responsible for assessing biological, psychological, sociological, and cultural needs of patients and families, including vital sign monitoring and ECG interpretation
- Provides health teaching and procedural information to patients and families
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be considered at a reduced rate
