Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position in California, requiring a minimum of 1.5 years of Cath Lab experience, Epic proficiency, and on-call availability.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 320 staffed beds
• Assignment in the Cath Lab unit
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• On-call required: 2 nights per week (post-shift) plus 1 weekend every 2 weeks, totaling 7 on-call days per pay period
• Weekends required every other weekend, with the possibility of exceeding that frequency based on unit needs
• Candidates with neuro skills may alternate between STEMI and neuro call days; candidates without neuro skills will be assigned to STEMI call only
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state
• Local candidates are welcome to apply
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1.5 years of Cath Lab RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Neuro skills highly preferred
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting are required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff of the Providence health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
• Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of the assignment
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application; minimal RTO is strongly preferred
