Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with Utilization Review experience for a 13-week day shift travel contract in Montana, requiring a MT or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based case management position working with adult med-surg patients
- Day shift schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM with weekend rotations
- 13-week contract
- On-call work may be required to respond to organizational, patient, or employee needs
Requirements
- Active MT or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Utilization Review (UR) experience required
- 2 years of acute care hospital case management experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- Proficiency with EMR systems, MS Office, and standard computer applications
- Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Conducts comprehensive patient assessments to identify candidates for case management based on clinical judgment and psychosocial factors
- Develops and implements individualized case management plans in collaboration with physicians, patients, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary care team
- Monitors and evaluates care plan effectiveness, documents interventions and goal achievement, and recommends adjustments as needed
- Supports discharge planning and promotes integration of behavioral health and long-term community-based services to ensure continuity of care
- Maintains an ongoing patient caseload with regular outreach and follow-up
- Role requires strong judgment, emotional intelligence, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Position requires physical stamina including repeated standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and continuous fine motor and cognitive activity
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, chemicals, and emotionally challenging patient situations is inherent to this role
