Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager for a Level III NICU at a hospital in Denver, CO, requiring BSN, leadership experience, and NICU specialty background.
Details
- Level III NICU in an acute care hospital setting in Denver, CO
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (may accommodate four 10-hour shifts)
- 40 hours per week
- NICU patient population including high-acuity neonatal cases
- Epic EMR used for charting
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO RN license or compact RN license (compact licenses must be transferred to Colorado within 60 days of start)
- BSN from an accredited institution required (degree will be verified)
- Current BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required; must not expire prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience
- Minimum 1 year of NICU specialty experience required
- Leadership or supervisory experience required
- Specialty certification preferred
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Oversees the clinical nursing environment of the NICU, contributing to day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and standards of care
- Manages unit budget including capital, operating, and personnel (FTE) components
- Responsible for staff hiring, orientation, retention, competency verification, performance reviews, and employee engagement
- Facilitates collaborative decision-making and serves as a liaison between unit staff and executive leadership
- Ensures compliance with patient safety initiatives and regulatory bodies including Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, and DOPL
- Partners with physicians to achieve clinical, operational, and service goals
- Monitors and improves patient satisfaction using service metrics and national benchmarks
- Required to complete Intermountain Health's leadership training and development courses within one year of accepting the position
- Former permanent Intermountain Health staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for a travel assignment
- Physical requirements include lifting, transferring patients, extended periods of standing, and frequent computer use
