Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a valid MO or compact RN license.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 110 staffed beds
- Telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric patients, including stroke, post-cardiac catheterization, neuro spine, total joint replacement, general surgery, wound care, diabetic, and oral surgery cases
- Patient ratio of 1:4–6
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating between two campuses (Progress West and St. Peters) required as needed and within service line/scope
- Average daily census of 16 patients
- Epic EMR — experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO RN license required (compact license accepted); IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry or step-down RN experience required
- Experience caring for stroke and post-cardiac catheterization patients required
- Familiarity with post-cath care required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy scrubs required
- Free parking available on-site
- Some initial orientation may occur outside of the standard contract shift hours
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
