Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Vascular Transplant IMC position requiring a minimum of 2 years of IMC experience, transplant experience, and a Maryland RN license.
Details
- Intermediate Care (IMC) unit within a hospital setting, focused on vascular and transplant nursing
- Patient population includes adults and geriatrics requiring post-operative care for vascular, kidney, and liver transplant procedures
- Performs hemodynamic and neurovascular assessments, monitors surgical sites, evaluates graft function, and manages labs, urine output, fluids, and electrolytes
- Administers pain control, immunosuppressants, anticoagulation, and IV therapies
- 27-bed unit
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every third weekend required
- Floating required within the specialty, to other units, and to sister facilities within scope
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active Maryland (MD) or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of IMC experience required
- Transplant nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Monitors for complications including thrombosis, graft dysfunction, and organ rejection
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
