Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool IMC/Med-Surg Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of IMC experience and recent Epic proficiency.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital Float Pool, floating between Med/Surg and IMC units
• Patient population includes those with acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma
• Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:6
• Epic EMR is used and recent experience is required
• Schedule is days, 4x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) experience in a hospital setting
• Minimum 2 years of IMC experience in a hospital setting
• Recent Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must be comfortable floating between Med/Surg and IMC units
• Flu shot and 2-step PPD are required with no exceptions
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates will not be considered for this position
