Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit requiring a TX or compact RN license and intermediate fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Work in a Level IV Maternal Designation facility's Labor and Delivery unit
• Unit includes 26 LDR suites (including low intervention rooms), 6 C-section suites, 14 triage rooms, 60 Mother-Baby couplet rooms, and 16 monitored ante-partum beds
• Academic teaching service supporting large private OB practices
• High-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing 500+ deliveries per month
• 24-hour in-house Attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage available
• Facility supports a Perinatal Transport Program
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school required
• 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery service preferred
• S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Provide skilled nursing care within a high-acuity Labor and Delivery environment supporting both high-risk and academic teaching cases
• Work alongside 24-hour in-house OB, anesthesia, and NICU teams
