Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic experience for a travel contract in Florida, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and an active FL or compact RN license.

Details

• 12-hour day shifts scheduled Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Operating Room (OR) setting with a strong orthopedic surgical focus
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Floating may be required to OR units at sister campuses, all located within 15–20 minutes of each other
• Epic EMR in use

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license, verified through Nursys
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Strong orthopedic surgical experience required
• Degree from an accredited nursing program required (ACEN, CNEA, CCNE, or FL Dept. of Health approved), or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation verification
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and must not own or be associated with any property within the 50-mile radius

Additional Information

• Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must be present at the facility on that day to obtain their badge/ID, with remote orientation components also included
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to consideration, as RTO will not be approved after an offer is made
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted
• Candidates must be flexible and willing to float to sister campuses as travelers are first to float
• The facility conducts a pre-screen interview followed by a direct manager interview before extending an offer
