Description

American Traveler is seeking a Chemo Certified Oncology RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS, BLS, and Chemo certifications, and an active NJ or Compact RN license.

Details

Oncology unit within a cancer center environment
Patient population includes hematological malignancies, bone marrow transplant, CAR-T therapy, solid oncology diagnoses, and chemotherapy administration
Patient ratio of 1:4
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
Every other weekend required
Floating required within scope of skillset across both the cancer center and main campus as needed
Charting via Epic (experience required)

Requirements

Active NJ or Compact RN license required
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and Chemotherapy (Chemo)
Minimum 2 years of oncology RN experience required
Chemotherapy administration experience required
Epic EMR experience required
SSN and DOB required for consideration
Two current professional references required
Copy of all certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

Administer chemotherapy and provide care for complex oncology patients including those undergoing bone marrow transplant and CAR-T therapy
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
All time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being made — no block scheduling approved
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Former employees of the RWJBH health system (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
