Description
American Traveler is seeking a Chemo Certified Oncology RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS, BLS, and Chemo certifications, and an active NJ or Compact RN license.
Details
- Oncology unit within a cancer center environment
- Patient population includes hematological malignancies, bone marrow transplant, CAR-T therapy, solid oncology diagnoses, and chemotherapy administration
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within scope of skillset across both the cancer center and main campus as needed
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
Requirements
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and Chemotherapy (Chemo)
- Minimum 2 years of oncology RN experience required
- Chemotherapy administration experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two current professional references required
- Copy of all certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Administer chemotherapy and provide care for complex oncology patients including those undergoing bone marrow transplant and CAR-T therapy
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- All time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being made — no block scheduling approved
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former employees of the RWJBH health system (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
