Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring Siemens CT experience and active MA licensure.

Details

• Hospital-based CT department within a large academic Level 1 trauma center
• Rotating among radiology clinics and divisions, including off-site locations, as needed
• 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM shift, 36 hours per week
• Weekend coverage is required
• Performs venipuncture for contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist
• Operates Siemens CT equipment including CT scanner, power injector, laser printer, and patient monitoring devices
• Performs image transfers to PACS and manages radiology information system (RIS) functions
• Epic used for charting
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least 1 year in CT
• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology required
• Active MA Radiologic and CT Technologist license required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this location)
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Siemens CT experience required
• Experience with cross-sectional anatomy, imaging techniques, and PACS systems
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Acquire and process CT images per departmental protocol, ensuring proper patient preparation, positioning, immobilization, and radiation shielding
• Calibrate and verify equipment operation at the start of each shift and report any malfunctions
• May oversee and instruct radiology and CT technology students within the department
• Participates in quality assurance, quality improvement, and research programs within the department
• Maintains CEUs in accordance with MA State Licensure and ARRT requirements
• On-call coverage may be required
• Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
• Candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
• 2 professional references are required for consideration
• No validated parking is available at Boston locations; public parking costs approximately $17–$22 per day; public transportation is recommended
