Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience and Epic proficiency, with night shifts and every-other-weekend requirements.
Details
- Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Patient population includes pneumonia, heart failure, GI bleed, DKA, altered mental status (AMS), and sepsis
- Night shift: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
- 36 hours per week with option to pick up additional PRN hours
- Every other weekend required
- Night shift nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6; charge nurse carries a reduced patient load when fully staffed
- No LPNs on nights; charge nurse is free when unit is fully staffed with 5 RNs
- Floating required as needed to similar medical/surgical departments
- No on-call requirement
- Epic EMR experience required
- 26-week contract
Requirements
- Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience
- Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required

- Holiday coverage is required; holiday time-off requests are not guaranteed and will be discussed with the manager based on unit staffing needs
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
