Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with acute inpatient experience for a 26-week hospital-based rehab assignment in Hawaii.
Details
- Primary coverage in acute inpatient rehab, with secondary coverage in ICF/SNF rehab
- Variable schedule: Mon–Fri, Tues–Sat, or Sun–Thurs, 8:30am–5:00pm
- Availability for weekends and holidays required based on hospital operations
- EMR: Meditech
Requirements
- Active State of Hawaii PT license required by start of assignment; license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 6 months of experience working with adults in at least one of the following settings: acute care, rehab hospital, or SNF
- Primary acute inpatient experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and re-evaluating patients, planning and implementing individualized physical therapy programs as prescribed by the attending physician or consulting specialist, and providing consulting PT services
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of assignment; this appointment will be held at the facility's Employee Health department and is mandatory
- Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
- Candidates not currently holding an active Hawaii PT license must apply for one upon acceptance of an offer
