Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring prior travel experience, ACLS and PALS certifications, and on-call availability including weekends.
Details
- Hospital endoscopy/GI unit setting
- 4x10-hour day shifts per week, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM, Monday–Friday with a floating day off
- On-call required, including weekends; must be within 30 minutes of the facility when on call
- Floating is required; travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses (all within 15–20 minutes of each other)
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of endoscopy nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Nursing degree from an accredited institution (ACEN, CNEA, CCNE, or FL Dept. of Health approved) required; accreditation verification must be provided
- Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
- Must provide full DOB and SSN for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; this radius rule is strictly enforced and applies to property ownership or co-signing as well
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted; all RTO must be submitted at the time of application and will not be approved after submission
- Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must complete remote orientation and report to the facility in person for badge/ID issuance
- Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate into the unit culture
- A pre-screen interview is conducted, followed by a manager interview and offer
- No references are required for consideration
