Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at an acute care hospital in South Carolina, requiring 4+ years of OR experience and an active SC or compact RN license.
Details
- Work setting is a 119-bed acute care hospital
- Position is in the Operating Room (OR) department
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts (6:45a–3:15p)
- Weekend requirement varies based on staffing, typically every 4th weekend with weekday coverage
- On-call is required: weekday call runs 3:00pm–7:00am, assigned per call rotation with staff; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
- Floating within scope to other like units or sister facilities may be required based on facility needs
- Charting is performed in Epic
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand prior to start
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum of 4 years of OR nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience is beneficial given facility use
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of profile consideration; approval is based on facility needs
- Block schedule requests may be submitted for approval prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
- Surgical scrubs are provided by the facility
- Parking is free in any unrestricted space
- Two professional references are required for consideration
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
