Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring a minimum of 2 years of home health experience and proficiency with HCHB and OASIS documentation.
Details
- Home health setting covering a territory within a 50–75 mile radius of the home clinic
- Caseload of approximately 6–7 patients per day, with 30 points per week
- Case types include Start of Care (SOC), follow-up visits, and similar home health services
- Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting performed in HCHB with OASIS documentation
- Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
Requirements
- Active RN license in Tennessee (TN) or a compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of home health nursing experience required
- Proficiency with HCHB and OASIS documentation required
Additional Information
- Conduct home visits including SOC assessments and follow-up care across an assigned territory
- Scrubs or business casual attire required
- Local candidates are welcome to apply
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required, along with a full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

Located about 20 miles south of Nashville, Franklin offers lots of small-town charm with its historical heart on and around Great American Main Street that runs through the 16-block downtown area. It's fun just to wander, with many magnificent homes and mansions, including impressive antebellum architecture. Explore the shops, galleries and restaurants, visit local distilleries to sample Tennessee whiskey and catch a show at the historic Franklin Theater. History buffs have much to uncover, including the Carter House, riddled with bullet holes from the Battle of Franklin during the Civil War.
