Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience, AHA-required certifications, and the ability to start within 7-10 days of offer acceptance.

Details

• 9-bed Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Adult patient population
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (start time 6:45 PM)
• 36 hours per week
• Float requirement to Postpartum unit
• EHR: Centricity and Meditech (both in use)

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications (AHA): BLS, ACLS or ALS-OB, NRP, and EFM
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring and assessment, emergency response, postpartum care, and time management
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• This is a rapid response position — candidates must be able to start within 7–10 days of offer acceptance
• Common diagnoses include normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Scrub color requirement: ceil blue — scrubs with slogans, graphics, or offensive content are not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
