Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU travel assignment in a rural, culturally rich community in Northwestern Arizona, requiring at least 3 years of ICU experience and AZ or Compact RN licensure.
Details
- Position is within a JCAHO-accredited, 73-bed regional health center serving a 4,400 square mile area of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations in Northwestern Arizona
- Primary assignment is in a 5-bed ICU caring for critically ill patients of all ages
- Float to ED, Med/Surg, or Peds may be required during periods of low census
- Responsibilities include after-hours recovery of post-op general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients as needed
- All shifts (days, evenings, nights) are required
- 13-week contract with 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Active AZ or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
- Current BLS and ACLS (both from the American Heart Association) required
- PALS (AHA) required or must be completed within 6 months of start
- TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) required or must be completed within 6 months of start
- NIHSS certification required or must be completed within 6 months of start
- SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care to critically ill patients following physicians' orders, standards of care, and hospital policies and procedures
- Facility orientation is conducted every 2 weeks
- COVID and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted upon submission of a declination form
- Fingerprinting is required prior to start and is completed during the compliance process via mail
- Shared contractor housing may be available through the facility — no pets or family members are permitted in contractor housing
- Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start date if utilizing facility housing
- This position is located in a very remote, rural area — candidates should be prepared for a unique, culturally diverse community environment
