Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring an active MI RN license, a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, and Epic proficiency.
Details
- ICU setting in a hospital environment
- Adult patient population with diagnoses including DKA, COVID, acute alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, respiratory distress, and CHF exacerbation
- Staffing ratio of 1:3 on all shifts
- Medication management via Pyxis
- Epic EMR required
- SBAR communication protocol used
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
- Every other weekend coverage required
Requirements
- Active MI RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Experience with cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Ability to care for ventilated patients
- Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips preferred
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Scrub colors required: navy and white
- First-time travelers will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
- All time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- Two professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
